Today we remember the key day in the Christian faith - the day that our Saviour rose from the dead. The pope in his Easter address called for peace in the world. It was broadcast live in 57 countries, and he greeted the world in 63 different languages. But some controversy still surrounds the pope this Easter day due to his baptism yesterday of a Muslim convert, Magdi Allam, a high-profile figure in Italian journalism.

Tiny wildflower between blades of grass in my lawn

Today I remembered one of my past favourite songs, “In the Morning” by Mary, Mary. They may not have intended this song to be an Easter greeting, but it really touches my heart. I think of the indescribable sorrow of the early Christians after the crucifixion, followed by the joy of the following Sunday morning.

Peace to all!
