Schnebly’s Winery in the Redlands, Miami-Dade County, South Florida, USA

Above: Eclectic but aesthetic, Schnebly’s is a pleasant
environment for wine tasting.
Schnebly’s is located in the Redlands farming area southwest of Miami, and close to the city of Homestead. The winery has very tasteful architecture. It is well worth the trip just to admire the buildings and gardens.
Wine tasting costs $6, and you can sample wines from seven different fruits. Here is a list of some of their exotic offerings:

  • Carambola
  • Mango
  • Lychee
  • Guava
  • Passion Fruit

Prices run around US $12 a bottle. Sparkling wines (like Passion Fruit below) are more expensive.

Above: The garden is flanked by Chickee Huts and a large waterfall, which can be seen here.

Below: Schnebly claims to have the largest Chickee Hut in the world. This is a smaller one.

A trip to Schnebly’s is a trip well worth making. The wines are of a very high quality and capture the essence of the fruit. Directions can be found on their web site.
