POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING the ghastly discovery of the body of 82-year-old businesswoman Violet Humphrey, of 2nd Avenue, Pickwick Gap, St Michael.
The lifeless body of the proprietress of Humphrey’s Bar was found bound in her bed around 1 p.m. yesterday. The alarm was sounded by church friends who visit her every Sunday for lunch.
The circumstance of Humphrey’s death was a grim reminder of the discovery of former Assistant Commissioner of Police Frederick William Phillips whose body was found bound and gagged on November 10, 2009. He lived a stone’s throw away from Humphrey.
