Early this morning in the small Caribbean island of Barbados, John, a Christ Church resident felt a tremor, later identified as an earthquake. He said he was in bed and the bed was swirling!

John noted the tremor after 5 a.m. He later noticed that his spring driven mechanical clock had stopped at 5:28 a.m. He checked his email and found a notice from the National Earthquake Information Center U.S. Geological Survey stating that there had been an earthquake.

A resident of St. George, Barbados, said that he felt substantial tremors at the same time.

Here is a little map modified from Wiki Commons. The black dot is the approximate location of the epicenter.
