Bill Baggs State Park - Key Biscayne

Close to Miami, but also Close to Nature

Key Biscayne is an island very close to downtown Miami. It has a beautiful
beach and a clean sea:

We climbed the lighthouse to get the photo above:

The top of the lighthouse is a good vantage point.

The rain came down shortly after these photos, so we went to the Cuban
restaurant, La Carreta:

We had some sandwiches. I had the dolphin (mahi-mahi) sanwich. It was a huge sandwich for $5.75! Needless to say, none of us could finish our meal. After lunch, the rain was still falling, so we went to take a look at No Name Harbor, an tiny Harbor in Bill Bagg’s State Park:

Heading back to Miami, the view of the beachfront Brickell condos is always a treat - day or night.

The rain was still falling when we arrived home. A leisurely cup of tea, followed by a good dinner accompanied the conversation that occupied us for the rest of the evening.
